The debut that rewrote British guitar music — a genuine 1989 first pressing, carried into Japan through Nippon Victor.

This is the original UK first pressing on Silvertone (ORE LP 502), pressed at the SNA plant with the correct first-run runout — ORE LP 502 A2 / B2, no "89-8" etching — the mark that separates the true first pressing from the later DFI repress. Non-embossed sleeve variant of the first run, with the deep 32mm pressing ring.

What makes this copy specific is its route into Japan: it carries the gold approval seal of Nippon Victor (日本ビクター株式会社 承認), applied to copies officially sanctioned for the Japanese market, and comes from a family connected to Victor's overseas division. A British record with a documented Japanese life.

The sleeve carries John Squire's Pollock-inspired painting "Bye Bye Badman"; the printed inner holds his "Waterfall" and band photographs.

Cleaning & Care

Every record in this shop is individually cleaned on our ultrasonic cleaning system before it is listed — a deep bath process that lifts dust and residue from the groove itself, beyond what a conventional brush reaches. Each disc is then handled with lint-free wipes.

Sleeve and media are graded separately (Goldmine standard), with honest disclosure of any flaws. What you see and read is what ships.

Shipping

All items ship from Tokyo, Japan via EMS with full tracking and insurance. Estimated delivery is 5–8 business days to Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and 11–14 business days to the United States after dispatch. Every item is carefully packed to protect all volumes in transit.
