A landmark pressed as an object. This is the Japan-exclusive, strictly limited 50th Anniversary edition of Let It Bleed — the album of "Gimme Shelter," "Midnight Rambler," and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" — built for Japan and made in a single production run that will never be repeated.
Two hybrid SACDs carry Bob Ludwig's 2019 remaster in both stereo and mono. Around them, Universal Japan assembled a small archive: a 7-inch-size slipcase, two 7-inch paper sleeves, a jacket replicating the Japanese first-pressing "Honky Tonk Women" single, an 80-page book with a David Fricke essay and unseen Eastan Russell photographs, three hand-numbered replica-signed lithographs, a miniature of the UK-only original poster, and a reproduction of the Japanese first-issue obi. This is what "made before it became a product" looks like when a label means it.
