Released in January 1982, For You is Tatsuro Yamashita's sixth album and the genre's high-water mark — "Sparkle," "Music Book," "Loveland, Island," "Love Talkin'." Recorded at CBS/Sony Roppongi, mastered at JVC Yokohama, and wrapped in Eizin Suzuki's now-iconic sun-bleached illustration. Decades on, it remains one of the most sought Japanese pressings in the world.
Note on completeness: this album was issued in 1982 without an obi strip — a copy without obi is correct and complete, not missing anything. It comes as it left the pressing plant: sleeve, colored inner, and printed lyric inserts.
