A quiet hinge in Radiohead's history, pressed as a numbered limited 12".
Released in 1994 between Pablo Honey and The Bends, My Iron Lung is the record where Radiohead became Radiohead. It marks the first collaboration with producer Nigel Godrich and artist Stanley Donwood — the two figures who would go on to shape every Radiohead release that followed. The title track is the band's answer to the runaway success of "Creep": a refusal to be defined by it.
This is the numbered pressing on semi-glossy sleeve — hand-numbered No. 6091 — with the four-track vinyl configuration (the CD-only "Permanent Daylight" does not appear here). Cut at 45 RPM across two sides, red label / blue label.
Held and preserved in a Tokyo collection, then cleaned on our ultrasonic system before listing.
Edition & Pressing · Catalogue: Parlophone 12R 6394 (UK, 1994) · Limited Edition, Numbered — this copy: No. 6091 · 12", 45 RPM, four tracks · Matrix: 12 R6394 A-01-1-1 / B-01-1-1
Condition (Goldmine standard, graded separately) · Sleeve: VG+ — semi-gloss finish clean, numbering crisp, no significant wear · Media: VG+ — plays through cleanly, only faint surface noise between tracks · Complete as issued: numbered sleeve + vinyl (this release was issued without obi, insert or poster)
What you see and read is what ships. Flaws, where present, are photographed up close.
Cleaning & Care
Every record in this shop is individually cleaned on our ultrasonic cleaning system before it is listed — a deep bath process that lifts dust and residue from the groove itself, beyond what a conventional brush reaches. Each disc is then handled with lint-free wipes.
Sleeve and media are graded separately (Goldmine standard), with honest disclosure of any flaws. What you see and read is what ships.
Shipping
All items ship from Tokyo, Japan via EMS with full tracking and insurance. Estimated delivery is 5–8 business days to Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and 11–14 business days to the United States after dispatch. Every item is carefully packed to protect all volumes in transit.
About Shipping
I only ever charge the actual, official postage — never a markup. Shipping is based on Japan Post's official EMS rate table. Please see the rate for your region here:
https://www.post.japanpost.jp/send/oversea/charge/list-ems/all.html
If you are located in a region with special zone rates (for example, Cyprus or other outlying areas), the listed shipping may differ slightly. In that case, please message me before purchasing and I will correct it to the exact official rate.
Note for customers in the United States
Please note: under current U.S. import rules, sellers are now required to pre-pay customs duties before shipping (via an approved app called "Zonos"). This requirement is unique to the United States. In most other countries, import duties are paid by the buyer on delivery — but for U.S. orders, I must pay these duties up front on your behalf. For this reason, the cost of U.S. customs duties will be added to the item price. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding.
Please feel free to message me with any questions before purchasing.
