MICHAEL JACKSON — Thriller Japan Master Sound · DM Digital Mastering · Epic 30·3P-431

$72.00
Taxes included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

The best-selling album of all time, in its Japanese audiophile edition.

Japan's Master Sound series was a premium, audiophile-grade line — carefully cut, pressed on heavy vinyl, and issued only for the domestic market. This is Thriller in that form (Epic 30·3P-431), carrying the DM Digital Mastering cut that collectors seek out for its clarity and low surface noise.

The gatefold opens to the familiar reclining portrait; a full Japanese insert carries lyrics and Reiko Yukawa's liner essay — the record as Japanese listeners received it in the 1980s.

Edition & Pressing · Label: Epic 30·3P-431 (Japan) — Master Sound, DM Digital Mastering · Gatefold sleeve, heavy vinyl · Japanese lyric / liner insert included · ℗ 1982 CBS Inc.

Condition (Goldmine standard, graded separately) · Sleeve: VG — outer front presentable, but the gatefold interior shows noticeable foxing / brown spotting across the white areas (photographed up close, honestly disclosed) · Media: VG+ — plays through cleanly, only faint surface noise between tracks · Included: gatefold sleeve, Japanese insert · Not included: obi (this copy is without obi) · Cleaned on our ultrasonic system before listing

What you see and read is what ships. Flaws are photographed up close.

Cleaning & Care

Every record in this shop is individually cleaned on our ultrasonic cleaning system before it is listed — a deep bath process that lifts dust and residue from the groove itself, beyond what a conventional brush reaches. Each disc is then handled with lint-free wipes.

Sleeve and media are graded separately (Goldmine standard), with honest disclosure of any flaws. What you see and read is what ships.

Shipping

All items ship from Tokyo, Japan via EMS with full tracking and insurance. Estimated delivery is 5–8 business days to Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and 11–14 business days to the United States after dispatch. Every item is carefully packed to protect all volumes in transit.

About Shipping

I only ever charge the actual, official postage — never a markup. Shipping is based on Japan Post's official EMS rate table. Please see the rate for your region here:
https://www.post.japanpost.jp/send/oversea/charge/list-ems/all.html

If you are located in a region with special zone rates (for example, Cyprus or other outlying areas), the listed shipping may differ slightly. In that case, please message me before purchasing and I will correct it to the exact official rate.

Note for customers in the United States

Please note: under current U.S. import rules, sellers are now required to pre-pay customs duties before shipping (via an approved app called "Zonos"). This requirement is unique to the United States. In most other countries, import duties are paid by the buyer on delivery — but for U.S. orders, I must pay these duties up front on your behalf. For this reason, the cost of U.S. customs duties will be added to the item price. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding.

Please feel free to message me with any questions before purchasing.
