The heart of my Wolfson unit is the mirror finish on its back — a polishing method I taught myself, by hand. (And the rest goes without saying: an iFlash inside, paired with a micro-SD from a first-rate maker.)
A back brought to a mirror through all those stages needs a clear case to protect it. But the case brings one problem: with it on, my own Shure SRH840 won't plug in directly — the recessed jack won't allow it.
At first, I planned to use a 10cm extension cable. But as you know, the longer the cable, the more the sound degrades. (Honestly — the loss is so small that few would ever notice.) Still, it nagged at me. And it looked clumsy.
So, half-expecting nothing, I bought an L-shaped adapter. Suddenly it looked… seriously cool.
And the sound — the part that matters? I ran it through every genre I could: "thank u, next," "tv off," "Polka Dots and Moonbeams," "Daahoud," "Watch That Man"… every one, superb. The cable went into a drawer. The L-adapter became standard equipment.
To put ever-finer music in your hands — that is the mission of "The Creator." That is mine.
